Set to debut at bauma 2025, the JD14X engine is part of John Deere Power Systems’ latest lineup of advanced solutions.

At bauma 2025 in Munich, John Deere showcased its latest innovations designed to meet the changing demands of construction and off-highway industries. From power systems and electrification to intelligent machine technologies, the company introduced solutions that continue to shape how equipment performs and operates in the field.

Versatile Power Solutions for a Changing Industry

John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) —JD4, JD9, and JD14—built to deliver more power with easier integration. These models address the need for higher performance while reducing installation complexity, making them ideal for modern construction equipment.

Electrification remains a major focus. In collaboration with KREISEL Electric, JDPS highlighted modular battery packs like the KBE.59.750M and production-ready KBP63. These high-density, durable batteries are designed for seamless integration with off-highway equipment and will support the shift to electric-powered machinery across segments.

To power these machines in the field, John Deere continues to develop mobile and stationary charging solutions. Products such as the CHIMERO fast charger and concept mobile charging units offer scalable, flexible infrastructure for jobsites with limited grid access.

JDPS also reinforces long-term equipment reliability through a global support network and lifecycle service offerings. With proactive maintenance plans and a tiered parts portfolio, customers have the tools to keep their machines performing efficiently.

Smarter, Safer Machine Technologies

Alongside its power innovations, John Deere aimed at boosting safety, precision, and jobsite performance. One standout is SmartDetect™ Digital, now expanding to European markets.

This system provides operators with real-time alerts and connects to the John Deere Operations Center™ for insights like event heat maps and weekly safety reports, enabling better site planning and risk management.

Also featured was SmartWeigh™, a dynamic payload weighing solution for mid-size and large wheel loaders. It delivers precise measurements and simplifies calibration, helping operators improve efficiency on the job.

Bauma attendees also explored the 744 X-Tier Wheel Loader with E-Drive, which pairs a powerful JD9 engine with an electric variable transmission (EVT). The result is instant power, improved fuel economy, and a more streamlined operating experience, demonstrating how John Deere continues to innovate beyond traditional powertrains.
